The Bouncer

Born and raised in Rotterdam, this national and international deejay has 25 years of experience and a lot of passion for his music. In the beginning of the nineties he was already going to all the big raves, especially for the harder styles like early rave, happy hardcore and old skool. That was at all the great parties: Rave The City, Megarave, Parkzicht, Nightmare, Thunderdome and so on. Later on he got invitations to play alongside his favourite deejays like Paul Elstak, Neophyte, Gizmo & The Darkraver, DJ Rob & MC Joe and DJ Panic. At that same time he worked at Midtown Records in Rotterdam and The Hague. All the great top deejays came down to Midtown to get the best hardcore records on vinyl. That is where he caught the deejay fever himself: to learn, and to become a DJ. He started to play in clubs in Holland, then little rave parties, and started also as a producer and DJ under the name Altered States on Trashcan Records, Brrr Records, Red Level Records and Rave Inc. A year and a half later he was playing on a radio programme called Channel-X from the legendary Club-X in Belgium, and on Hardcore Radio in Rotterdam. He played at Club-X with DJ Psycho. Then he met George Ruseler of Rotterdam Terror Corps and got to play at the Energyhall, Demisec and Sweetlake in Rotterdam. Now DJ Bouncer is still active in the studio with freestyle and hardcore productions, solo but also together with Rudenoize and DJ Gizmo. He plays regularly at Hardhouse Generation in The Hague. His style: freestyle, old skool, early hardcore and hardcore.
